Kaspire is making a case to be Kaspa's everyday wallet
The Android app and browser extension now sit across KAS, older KRC assets, new KCC-20 tokens and a growing list of dApps. That breadth explains the excitement. Whether users actually make it their default is a question worth asking them.

A wallet can become the front door to a network when it does more than show a balance. Kaspire is making that pitch with an Android app, a Chromium extension, built-in access to Kaspa trading venues and support for both the older and newer token systems. Its official site currently lists Android 0.11.87 and extension 0.5.27. On November 3, the team said it plans an iOS release this month. That is a target, not an iOS app that holders can install today.
Why people are paying attention
Kaspa users increasingly need a wallet that can move between KAS, KRC-20 and KRC-721 assets, KNS names, covenant-based KCC-20 tokens and applications on Igra or Kasplex L2. Kaspire lists all of those categories in one product. For someone who uses several launchers or marketplaces, the appeal is practical: fewer separate wallet and browser handoffs, and a consistent place to inspect a transaction before signing.
That pitch has become more concrete in the last two weeks. Kasseal said users can open its KCC-20 launcher inside Kaspire's mobile browser. Kaspire said Kasvio can connect to its mobile app and extension, with Kasvio available inside the mobile dApp browser, and announced a Braid integration for swaps inside Android. Its October 30 update added Braid to the in-app browser and market-cap, price and volume fields to KaspaRocket and Kasseal token lists. Those are specific product releases, not proof that Kaspire has won the wallet market.
Why moving from another wallet may be easier
Kaspire's security documentation says it scans both modern and legacy Kaspa derivation paths when importing a BIP-39 recovery phrase. It also distinguishes BIP-44 accounts from the address-index subwallets used by KasWare. That matters because an imported wallet can look empty if software checks only one path or confuses an account with a subwallet. The published design is a reason an existing user might try Kaspire; it does not guarantee every wallet history or asset will appear exactly as expected.
A recovery phrase is the key to the funds it controls. Anyone considering an import should get the app from Kaspire's official download page or its linked Chrome Web Store listing, verify the source and follow the wallet's own backup instructions. Never enter recovery words into a web page, an X reply or a support chat. The official page notes that the Chrome Web Store may serve an earlier approved build than the downloadable extension ZIP.
The technical case, and the limits
Kaspire publishes its source repository and developer interface. The extension exposes an origin-bound window.kaspire provider, while Android uses encrypted WalletConnect v2 sessions. Its docs say each signing request still requires explicit approval and a local transaction review. The project describes a shared Rust signing core and Argon2id-encrypted backups. These are documented design claims. We have not independently audited the released binaries or tested every integration with funds.
There are limits to the “default wallet” argument. Kaspire says its Kaspa WalletConnect namespace is proprietary because the network does not yet define an official one. A dApp must support that interface rather than assume every wallet speaks the same protocol. iOS is still a promise. We also found no independently verified install figures or active-wallet share, so we cannot say how many people have switched from KasWare, Kastle or another wallet.
What do users say?
The better test is a week of ordinary use. If you moved to Kaspire, which wallet did you use before? Did your accounts and token balances appear correctly? How did the mobile dApp browser, swaps, transaction review and recovery process hold up? What broke? Send Kaspa News a specific account of your experience. We will follow the answers and revisit the story. Please keep recovery words, private keys and sensitive wallet details out of replies.
The publisher holds Kaspa ecosystem assets and operates separate crypto projects. Kaspire is an independent project. This is product reporting, not a security audit or a recommendation to move funds.
